Update into October

1st of October we are supporting Reg Meuross at CB2 8pm. Reg is a fine songwriter and there is also the opportunity to take part in a song writing workshop in the afternoon, contact Strummers for more detail. This clip shows him on fine form.

We will be playing our usual mix of songs and tunes from both sides of the pond, including some of our own compositions and some of our interpretations. Then next week we will be at the Boathouse for Johnny Wrights Blues night, always a highlight in our calendar – we love playing there, its loud and in your face and the atmosphere just gets better now the nights are drawing in.  strummers-1_10_16

Kelly and Woolley are playing at Newnham Croft Social Centre Cambridge tomorrow night 17th Sept in our annual Charity fundraiser for Action For Children. We are sharing the evening with Thursday’s Band  and have a guest appearance from Lucy Taylor who will be singing a couple of Joni Mitchell songs with us.

Following that we have a spot at the Mayflower Folk Club on the 20th where we will be asking Debbie Patterson Jones to sing Wayfaring stranger with us, should be a great night.

Thanks to all those who have come to our gigs over the summer, we really appreciate your support, it makes it all worthwhile, long live live music!

After a busy summer, which included a couple of festivals and a few intimate acoustic gigs, we are commencing our autumn with our annual charity fundraiser at Newnham Social club in Cambridge on the 17th of September, all proceeds to Action for Children. This year we have invited Thursday’s band to play and a guest spot from Mezzo Soprano Lucy Taylor for some Joni Mitchell renditions. Music starts at 8pm, there is a bar and its cheap! Hope to see you there.

Following swiftly on we are playing a spot at the Mayflower folk club on the 20th at the Portland Arms.
